Masahiro Fujita - General Manager, Chief Distinguished Researcher, Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory, Information Technologies Laboratories, Sony Corporation
Dr Fujita's robotics research over the years has been driven by his
curiosity and passion. He was the technical leader of Sony's
entertainment robot AIBO and humanoid QRIO. His work has lead to several groundbreaking
scientific ideas in the important field of robotics, and as a result he
has opened up a whole new world of exciting research to a large number
of researchers around the world. Dr Fujita was instrumental in starting
the Sony 4-Legged League at RoboCup and his vision of the future
continues to inspire.
It is a great honour to have Dr Fujita joining us to celebrate 50 years
of Artificial Intelligence in a unique way at this special symposium.
